Snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, skating, snowmen, sledding – bring your gear and have some fun! Cider and hot chocolate to warm up with by the fire pit, cookies to refuel, and friends to meet and reconnect with.
Modern day explorers are invited to experience this same tramp for the annual hike of the Peterson Canal. The five-mile scenic hike (round trip) is only possible when the water is frozen and will take approximately 2.5 hours. Meet at 11:00 across from the boat launch to the New Meadows Lake on Old Brunswick Road in Bath. Click HERE for a Google map! Participants are required to use snow shoes to tramp through the deep snow. For more information and to confirm that conditions are appropriate contact Ed Benedikt at 442-0445.
