Come join Nature Conservancy staff on Friday, February 13th for a six-mile snowshoe/hike at the Basin Preserve in Phippsburg, Maine – a 1,840 acre, forested mid-coast gem that is Conservancy’s largest coastal preserve in Maine. Participants will snowshoe through mixed hardwood forests and rare pitch pine woodlands, while traversing low granite ridges and skirting frozen wetlands and bogs. Snowshoe or Ski Long Cove Headwaters, Searsport

Guided Nature Walk with Ron Joseph, Carrabassett Valley

Join Maine Wildlife Biologist Ron Joseph as he takes you on a gentle guided snowshoe through the woods to Stratton Brook Hut. During the hike, he will offer his expertise in different areas, such as: tree identification, animal tracking, birds and other ecological topics and can answer any questions that come up. The snowshoe trip is approximately 2.3 miles in length.
